Kumar Vishwas and Arvind Kejriwal’s friendship was in our language today ‘Brothers from Another Mother’. Arvind often called Kumar Vishwas his younger brother. But their friendship fell apart after the Rajya Sabha elections, when Kumar Biswas did not get a seat in the Rajya Sabha.
There were three seats in the Rajya Sabha of Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party had won nearly 67 seats in the 2015 assembly elections. Then they could make their candidates win in these three seats. The name of Kumar Vishwas was assumed in it. Everyone thought that they would definitely get the post because of their friendship. But when the ticket was announced, the game was changed. Kumar Vishwas was not nominated.
Even Kumar Vishwas was not satisfied with two of the other three names. That was the first time he spoke against Arvind Kejriwal in the media. Even before that, often he doesn’t like the decisions of the party, but he doesn’t want to talk about it. But for the first time he verbally attacked Kejriwal.
Kumar Vishwas did not stop there. He also left the party after this incident. Not getting a Rajya Sabha seat was not the only reason. It is said that Kumar Vishwas always considered himself equal to Arvind Kejriwal. So when Arvind Kejriwal decided to contest from Varanasi against Narendra Modi, that same time Kumar Vishwas also announced to contest from Amethi against Rahul Gandhi. Kumar Vishwas was often seen making unilateral statements.
According to all political analysts, after Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister with an absolute majority in 2015, Kumar Vishwas was also said to have disagreed about the role of party convener.
One day Arvind told me that he would either become the Chief Minister of Punjab or the first Prime Minister of an independent nation, Kumar Vishwas said. After this, all the party people fell on Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal started being called as Khalistani supporter.
He started being trended on social media. Arvind Kejriwal also hit back at Kumar Vishwas. However, these two people who are head over heels for each other were once close friends. So the big question is how his friend turned into such a staunch enemy today.
This friendship of Arvind Kejriwal and Kumar Vishwas was due to Manish Sisodia and now it is said that Kumar Vishwas’ family relationship with Manish Sisodia has also ended. Friends who were once close friends are sometimes forget the limits of words of criticism. Despite attempts at reconciliations, their friendship never fully recovered, and they have remained on opposite sides of the political spectrum. But it is said that politics is something like that.
